Edward R. Wright

Edward R Wright (Eddie) 69 of Rockland born September 6, 1946, passed away January 24 at the South Shore Rehab in Rockland from a long battle with a lingering illness.

Born in Pembroke MA and also lived in Abington, he was the son of the late Ellsworth & Lillian Wright, brother of the late Ellsworth Wright Jr, Allen Wright, Philip Wright and Dorothea Baxter.

Eddie is survived by his wife of 46 years Cheryl (Cushing) Wright, daughter Stacy Wright and two grandchildren, David Block and Sydni Wright, sister Florence Lind, many nieces & nephews, mother in-law Marian Cushing and brother in-law William (Bill) Cushing.

He was blessed with many close friends and felt them as an extended family that included Janice and Rick Olson, Carol and Jim Olick, Rita and Ray Tenore, Cherie (Olson) Babb her children Amber Dickinson, Brooke King, Eric and Rebecca Olson their children, Taylor Place, Ethan and Colby Olson.

He loved fishing with his grandson David and “brother” Rick, hunting was a favorite pastime and he also claimed that he was the number 1 Patriots fan.

In keeping with Eddie’s wishes there will be a celebration of his life with a collation at the Trinity Church Parish Hall, 3 Goddard Ave, Rockland, on Saturday, February 6th from 1 PM to 4 PM.
