John David Brady passed away peacefully on November 8, 2016. Known to everyone as Dave, he was born in Brockton, MA in 1936 to Walter M and Katherine (Feeney).  He graduated from Abington High School, where his talents as quarterback earned him a football scholarship to Boston College.  While in college, Dave joined the U.S. Marine Corp Officer Training Program and graduated in 1958 commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant in the U.S. Marine Corp. He served in Camp Lejeune, NC and Vieques Isl., Puerto Rico retiring from the U.S. Marine Corp as Captain, in 1961.

Following his military stint, Dave married his high-school sweetheart Carol Kenney and embarked upon a career as a Special Agent for the Federal Bureau of Investigation.  His FBI career took Dave and his growing family to several assignments across the US, including Rapid City, MN, New Orleans, New York and San Juan, Puerto Rico. His final assignment brought him back to Boston, and Dave settled his family in Marshfield, MA.  Among his most rewarding career endeavors was working with Massachusetts State Police in the under-cover sting known as "Operation Lobster", which culminated in the arrest of key truck high-jackers and many individuals involved with organized crime.

After his distinguished career with the FBI, Dave served as Head of Security for Bank of Boston, before retiring and relocating with Carol to Jacksonville, FL, where they lived and golfed for many years, before moving to be near family in Nashville, TN.

A beloved husband, father, and grandfather, he is survived by his loving wife Carol, children Esther and husband George, Julie and husband Mark, John and wife Margi and Jane and husband Bill, and nine grandchildren Matthew, Megan, Tim, Allison, Henry, Katherine, Emily, Isabel, and Clara. He is preceded in death by his parents, and siblings Walter, Kathleen and Robert. Dave was beloved and is remembered for his dry wit, honest character and gentle spirit. He will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him.
