Joseph T. Beirne, Jr.

Tommy Beirne age 66, of South Weymouth, died Tuesday Dec. 19, 2017 at SS Hospital with his family by his side. He was the husband of Linda (Evans) for 28 years. Tommy was born in Watertown, he graduated from St. Patrick's High School of Watertown and got an Associates Degree at Northeastern. Tommy was a Veteran of USN, and retired from Belmont Post Office after 25 years of service. He was a member of the Abington American Legion Post #112 and the Rockland Golf Course he also enjoyed every year for 29 years going on the cape weekend golf outing at Holly Ridge in Sandwich, but one of his favorite things was, as he would say, the Patriots #1 Fan. 

He was son of the late Mary E. and Joseph T. Beirne of Watertown, and the father of Paul and his wife Kerry Ann of Medford, Michael of Brockton and Kerrin Beirne and James Norge of SC. He had 4 grandchildren: Morgan, Bailey and Erin Beirne of Watertown and James Michael Norge of SC. He also leaves behind his sisters: Kathi Buddington, Patricia and Charles Ganno of Watertown, Joan and John Bartinelli of West Newton and Steven and Laura Beirne of Arlington. Also he leaves behind his wife's family Carol & Richard Pulkinen, Karen & Mark Conover of Rockland and William & Linda Evans of Abington. Many nieces & nephews.

His wake and service will be Friday Dec. 22nd from 4pm to 7pm at Quealy & Sons Funeral Home 116 Adams Street, Abington with the service at 7pm and his burial on Wed. Dec. 27th at MA National Cemetery, Bourne at 10 am.
