 Marie (Peavey) Norton, 75, of Abington passed away peacefully on August 27th surrounded by her loving family after a long, valiant battle with cancer.  She was gracious and loving in her final days as she was her entire life.  The true personification of the greatest wife and mother someone could ever have.

Marie was born on July 20, 1942 in Boston.  Born and raised in Savin Hill and a graduate of Archbishop Cushing High School. She lived in Abington for most of her life with her husband Ronald where they raised five children, Christine, Denise, Ronald Jr, Stephanie and Alicia.

Marie’s greatest love was her family.  She was the beloved wife of Ronald J. Norton.  Devoted mother to Christine Carreiro and her husband Rui of Whitman, Denise Gaffey and her husband Jim of Roslindale, Ronald Norton Jr. and his wife Kara of Cohasset, Stephanie Shields of Whitman and Alicia Norton of Abington. Loving Nana to nine grandchildren, Kyle, Ryan, Maeve, Brady, Connor, Aine, Logan, Colby and Riley.  Loving sister to Thomas Peavey and his wife Debbie of Florida, Paul Peavey and his wife Karen of North Carolina, Joseph Peavey of Quincy, the late William Peavey and James Peavey and his wife Simona of Methuen and many other loving family members.

We will miss you and love you forever!

Funeral from the Quealy & Son Funeral Home 116 Adams Street, Abington Friday September 1 at 8am followed by a funeral mass in St. Bridget Church, Abington 9am. Visitation Thursday 4 to 8pm. Interment Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
