Mary M. Manning

Manning, Mary (Sissy) of Yarmouth, formerly of Abington passed away peacefully on October 22, 2015 at the age of 83. Beloved wife of the late John Manning, loving daughter of the late John and Mary Cook, Mary was born in Boston and grew up in Jamaica Plain. A devoted Christian woman, Mary dedicated her life to her family and God. She enjoyed spending her summers at White Horse Beach with her family, parents John and Mary Cook and her loving sisters Dolly, Polly, and Betty, and their families. Mary was the heart and soul of her children; John Manning, Janet (Michael) Durkin, Karen (Dennis) Cotto, Kevin (Maura) Manning, Mary (Erick) Sundberg, Brian Manning, and the late Patrick Manning, as well as former daughter-in-law Patty Manning and son-in-law Bill Medlin. She was lovingly adored by her fifteen grandchildren; John, Jimmy, Billy, Erin, Michele, Kimberly, Christopher, Johnny, Erich, Stephanie, Meaghan, Patrick, Kristen, Kathleen, Andrea, and her two great-grandchildren Olivia and Michael. Also survived by her three sisters and many special nieces and nephews. In addition, the family wishes to extend their sincerest thanks and gratitude to Mary's caregiver and friend, Rose.  Rose has touched all our hearts in her special way.

Reposing at the Quealy Funeral Home, 116 Adams St. Abington at 9:30am Monday followed by a funeral mass at St. Bridget's Abington, Monday at 10:30am. Visiting hours are Sunday from 2:00pm to 5:00pm. The burial will take place at St. Patrick Cemetery Rockland, MA.
