Paul A. Russell

Paul A. Russell Sr. of East Bridgewater and North Fort Myers, FL, died Nov. 5 after a long illness, Loving husband of 55 years to Viola (Drysdale) Russell; Son of the late James F. and Florence E. Russell; Loving father of Lisa M. Skinner of Abington, James A. Russell and wife Julie (Whitman) Russell of TN and the late Paul A. Russell Jr.; Loving grandfather of Joseph, Russell, and Alyssa Skinner all of Abington, and Andrew and Hailey Russell of TN; Brother of Dorothy Phinney of Blackstone, MA,  Eleanor Power of Idaho, and the late Robert, Lawrence, James, Richard, Leonard, Evelyn Vena, Florence Walsh, and Alice Gibbons.

Paul was born in Boston in 1936 and graduated from Weymouth High School in 1954. He was in the Army National Guard and joined the US Air force in 1954 where he was a jet engine mechanic. Paul retired from Armstrong World Ind. in Braintree after 28 years. He was a great woodworker, metal worker, and wood carver. Paul enjoyed his boats and always owning one since 1958. He enjoyed traveling the world, visiting over twenty European Countries and taking over thirty five cruises. Paul enjoyed doing for his family the most, especially his grandchildren. He was a previous Abington Jaycee, Abington Zoning Board member, board member of Locke Lake Colony in NH, and Pittsfield NH Lions.

Visiting hours will be held at the Quealy & Son Funeral Home 116 Adams Street, Abington on Monday Nov. 16 from 3 to 7pm. A funeral mass will be held Tuesday Nov. 17 in St. John the Evangelist Church, 210 Central St., East Bridgewater 10am. Interment St. Patrick Cemetery, Rockland.
