Robert Arthur Edlund DMD of Hanover, July 21, 2017. Loving husband of Barbara Edlund of Hanover and their son Charlie ; Loving father of Dawne Barrett and husband René of Easton, Darah Angelus and husband Luke of Medfield, Taryn Zuccala and husband Vinnie of NH, Liza Kearney and husband Gerry of CA, Jared Edlund of Norwell, Josh Edlund of ME, Julie Franklin and husband Chris of ME, Denni Edlund and husband Dr. Khashayar Farsad of OR, and stepfather of the late Brian Winiewicz; Loving brother of Nancy Gibbs and husband Lloyd of Foxboro and the late Richard Edlund. Beloved son of the late Ralph and Anna Edlund. Also, survived by many grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He received his degree from Tufts University and Tufts Dental School. After graduating, he joined the Army as a dentist and was discharged with the rank of Captain. He had his own dental practice in Rockland for over fifty years, until recently retiring.
Until stricken with recent health problems, Bob had a wonderful, active life. One of Bob’s passions was music-whether listening to the symphony or playing one of his many instruments. Many local bands had the pleasure of having him be part of their group. Sports was another of Bob’s pleasures playing tennis, golf, softball and watching Boston sports.
An avid learner, Bob took many courses through the OLLI Program at UMass. He also enjoyed water color painting, reading, and daily crossword puzzles.
