Albert Clark Mills

Albert C. Mills of Taunton, 92, died August 1, 2017. He was the husband of the late Geraldine A. Mills, they were married 38 years. He was born June 10th, 1925 in Quincy. He was the late son of Helen Mills Goldschmidt of Florida, and Daniel J. Mills. Al served in the Navy in Okinawa in World War II. He was a printer by trade and later in life became the owner of Hutcheon’s Flower Shop in Abington for 25 years. When retired he and his wife Gerry resided in West Bridgewater and enjoyed many years of camping in their motor home. Al was a Lion’s club member of Abington for many years. He was great at construction built his own house in Abington, and every house he lived in he always had a project. He loved golf, and was an avid Red Sox fan. He is survived by his brothers Donald Mills, the late David Mills, his daughters Valerie Mills, Donna Gross, her husband Andreas, and son Michael Baker.  Three grandchildren Leandra Eddy, her husband Shaun, Brittany Nickerson, her husband Chase, and Chrisann Baker. Three great grandchildren Noah, Savannah, and Levi. He was also the longtime companion to the late Rita Giovanni.

Visitation hours will be held Saturday August 5 from 2pm to 4pm at Quealy & Son Funeral Home, 116 Adams Street, Abington, followed by a funeral service at 4pm. A private burial will be held at Patrick’s Cemetery.
