Linda L. Burke, 72, of Abington, MA, died unexpectedly on February 14, 2017. She was the daughter of the late Earle Lane and Elizabeth (Our) Lane.
Linda worked at Blue Cross Blue Shield until she retired in 2007. She had a rewarding career and made many lifelong friends. She enjoyed retirement to its fullest. She loved going to Foxwoods, meeting friends for lunch, working in her yard, and above all, spending time with her family. Linda was an amazing and trusted friend. She was honest, kind, reliable and loyal to everyone she loved.
Linda was the devoted wife of George Burke and loving mother of Chris Burke and wife Stephanie. Above all, she was the best “Grammie” to Alyssa, Kaitlyn and many other children she met through her volunteer work at Center School. She will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved her.
A Funeral Service will be held at the Quealy & Son Funeral Home, 116 Adams Street, Abington Saturday February 18 at 10am. Visitation Friday 4 to 7pm. Interment Mt. Hope Cemetery, Weymouth.
