Marcia L. Travi

Marcia L. Travi, 65, of Abington passed away peacefully on September 14th surrounded by loving family and friends after a courageous battle with cancer.

Raised in Iowa and a graduate of the University of Iowa, she went on to own Vin and Eddie's Restaurant for many years with her husband Vincent Travi.

 Marcia's greatest love was her family. Marcia was the daughter of Robert and Beverly Foster. She was the beloved wife of Vincent Travi; loving mother to Sarah McDonald and her husband Michael of Milton; Gabe Karwoski and his wife Emily of Beverly; Vincent and Cindy Travi of Brimfield; and Jason and Miho Travi of Seattle. She is survived by her brother Bob and his wife Deb, her sister Teri and her husband Jim. One of her greatest joys was her grandchildren: Colin, Sam, Madison and Luke McDonald, Gus Karwoski, and Mai and Asher Travi. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her sister Mary Margaret.

Marcia truly had a passion for life that was unique and will never be forgotten. She was never one to mince words, one of her many loved and admired qualities.  Her generosity and giving nature will always be remembered.   Her interests and passions were many including: food and wine, garden, and travel. She truly was one of a kind and she will be missed beyond measure.

 Visitation will be held at the Quealy & Son Funeral Home, 116 Adams Street, Abington on Sunday, September 17th from 5-8pm. There will be a Celebration of Life at Sorelle, 1400 Bedford Street, Abington on Monday afternoon, September 18th starting at 12pm.
