Anne M. Johnston of Boston, died June 9, 2018 at South Shore Hospital, age 72. She was born on October 30th 1945 in Washington DC. She moved to the Boston area in the late sixties. She was an avid runner and was on the board of Directors of the Frontrunners in Boston. She participated in marathons in New York, Boston, Philadelphia and Washington DC. She worked for many years at the Massachusetts Motor Vehicle Administration. She embraced her life in Boston and had a strong and independent spirit. She is predeceased by her parents, Walter and Rosemary, and her sister Kay McCullen. She is survived by her brothers John and Robert, her sister-in-law Cindi and her nephews Patrick and Andy.
A gathering will be held at 5:30 on Friday July 13th at the Adams Pub at the Best Western Inn in Quincy for her family, friends and colleagues in the area. On Saturday, July 14th we will be meeting around 10:30 at the stone bridge near Hatch Shell which was one of her favorite running spots.
