Elizabeth A. McLaughlin

Elizabeth (Ann) A. McLaughlin 83 returned to her heavenly home on Monday October 8, 2018 after a valiant battle with a long illness suddenly passed at the Rhode Island Hospital. 

She was surrounded by her family and she left this world on her own terms with dignity and courage. Her devotion to her family and her firm belief in Jesus supported her struggle and ultimately gave her peace.

Born in Drogheda Ireland and raised in Bristol England where she met her military ex husband Richard McLaughlin who brought her to the United States in 1958 where she settled in Brockton Ma. She raised her five children with patience, discipline and humility.

Elizabeth worked for the Howard Johnson food processing plant until she retired in 1997. She was an accomplished candle pin bowler and bingo player.  She was a devout catholic and has prepared for her journey to her heavenly Lord and to reunite with her Mom and Dad. 

Elizabeth was the daughter of Albert And Marcella (Phyllis) Wood of Bristol England. She leaves behind sisters Olive Britton and Shirley Lewis of Bristol England and five children Steven Mclaughlin and his wife Julie of Loveland CO., Richard Mclaughlin and his wife Donna of Attleboro, Karen Tourinho of Taunton, Deborah Beary and her husband Matthew of Abington , Darlene Dahlborg and her husband Tom of Gorham ME. 11 grandchildren and 10 1/2 great grandchildren Her beautiful best friend and sister in law Carol Tretola many nieces and nephews both here and abroad.

Elizabeth will be missed by all.
