John Brown Jr. Obituary

John (Jack) Brown Jr, 83, a long time resident of Abington, Ma. passed away peacefully Friday January 3, 2020 after a recent illness.  He was surrounded by his loving family at South Shore Hospital in Weymouth, Ma.

Jack was the son of the late John and Alice Brown. He was born on July 28, 1936 in Weymouth and grew up in Quincy, Ma with siblings Donald, Selma (Dickie) and Alice (Babe). He attended Quincy schools and then enlisted with the United States Marine Corps in July 1957. His tour took him overseas for 1 year and 3 months and was honorably discharged after his term in July 1959. Jack was a proud member of Teamster Local 653 and worked for Garber Brother in Randolph for many years.

Once he retired, you could usually find Jack watching his beloved Boston Sports teams especially the Bruins or NASCAR and old cinema classics most weeknights. But his greatest joy was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Jack was the devoted husband of almost 60 years to Louise (Arciprete) Brown and the loving father to Tim Brown and wife MaryEllen of East Bridgewater, Bob Brown and wife Kerin of Londonderry, NH and Bill Brown and wife Jessica of Merrimack, NH. He is survived by his 7 grandchildren Kimberly, Christopher, Samuel, Gabriella, Kennedy, Garron and Matthew. He was loved by many nieces and nephews and was a dedicated Brother in law to many. Our lives will be forever changed without him here on earth and we will miss him dearly.
