Rosemary “Rosie” Walls, 68, of Abington, died peacefully at home surrounded by her loved ones, on Monday April 23rd. Loving wife of 32 years to her high school sweetheart, Tim Walls. Cherished mother of Kerry (Shawn) Donovan, Amanda (Joe) Towsley, Timmy (Amanda) Walls. Adored Memere of: Brianna, Shawn, Molly, Drew, and Tessa Donovan; Kobie, Casey, and Brady Towsley; and Charlie and Pru Walls. Beloved sister of Phyllis (Paul) Robinson, Lois Redican, Al (Joanie) Lemay, Denise Combs, and the late Collette (Greg) Revan. Caring aunt to many nieces and nephews. Beloved daughter of the late Norman and Edna Lemay. Rosie was a loving and loyal friend to all. A dedicated teacher and Reading Specialist, Rosie taught in Marshfield for over 35 years. In 2006, The Martinson School Library was named in her honor. Rosie was an active member of the Abington community, involved in Child Study, House Tour, Friends of the Library and Garden Club. She was a CCD Teacher, cheerleading coach, and Brownie troop leader. Rosie enjoyed golf, calligraphy, and the guitar. She was a Green Wave super fan and enjoyed everything involving her grandchildren. No one enjoyed life more than Rosie!
Visitation will be Friday, April 27th from 4-8pm at Quealy and Son Funeral Home, 116 Adams St., Abington. A Funeral Mass will be held Saturday at 9am in St. Bridget’s Church, Abington. Interment St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Rockland.
