Adele J. (Tuttle) DeYulus, 72, of Abington, died on April 21, 2011 in the South Shore Hospital following a period of declining health.
She was born on October 9, 1938 in South Boston, the daughter of the late Charles W. and Josephine T. (Poleo) Tuttle. Raised and educated in the Boston area, Adele resided in Abington for the past 53 years. She was a graduate of Catherine Laboure Nursing School, Class of 1959. A registered nurse, Adele served at the Presidential Convalescent Home for nearly 36 years prior to her retirement.
Her greatest accomplishment, however, was her family whom she cherished and was devoted.
Beloved wife of Melville L. DeYulus, Sr. of Abington. Devoted mother of Adele Leonard of Abington, Donna Green of Whitman, Melville, Jr. of Abington, Lisa Cashman of Abington and Charles of Florida and all their spouses. Sister of Edna Connolly, Arlene Shaughnessy and the late Charles Tuttle. Also survived by 14 adoring grandchildren.
Funeral from the Quealy & Son Funeral Home, 116 Adams Street, Abington, Wednesday at 8 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass in St. Bridget Church at 9 a.m.
Visitation Tuesday, 5-9 p.m.
Interment Blue Hill Cemetery.
