January 24, 1930 – February 1, 2017
Agnes M. (Higgins) Fredenburg, 87, of Abington, passed away at South Shore Hospital on February 1 after a long illness. Raised in Hingham and Norwell, she was a graduate of Norwell High School. Wife of the late Richard T. Fredenburg, she leaves three daughters, Kathy Famularo and her husband Joseph, Cheryl Hoeler and her husband William, and Jean Graham and her husband Roger. She also leaves five grandchildren, Jessica and Andrew Hoeler and Michael, Douglas, and Kevin Graham. She is survived by her dear sister Evelyn Lawrence and her husband Richard. She was the sister of the late Robert Higgins, William Higgins, and Rita O'Neil. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law Judy Ripley and Eileen Higgins and by many nieces and nephews.
Agnes was born in Boston, the daughter of William and Kathleen (McGuire) Higgins. Agnes worked as a telephone operator for New England Telephone & Telegraph in Hingham for many years. Later she worked at Olson's Machine Shop and ESL prior to retirement. Agnes was a wonderful seamstress, a voracious reader, and faithful Patriots football fan. Her greatest joys in life were her children, grandchildren and dear sister. SERVICES: A remembrance of her life will be held at the Quealy and Son Funeral Home, 116 Adams Street, Abington, MA, on Thursday, February 9, at 11:00am.
