Alan Eric Olson

1945 -2018

Alan E. Olson, originally of Abington, passed away on July 17, 2018, after fighting several illnesses. He is survived by his sister, Jacqueline Whitten of Abington, his niece, Kirsten Whitten Garneau, and nephew, Donald Whitten. He is also survived by his best friend, Irene Bradford, and his cousin, Harry Olson, as well as a grand-niece and two grand-nephews. He was a very special brother, uncle and friend. He was always there, whenever we needed a helping hand. He loved talking about the kids he used to teach at the local roller skating rinks. He also loved gardening and fishing with Harry on their boat. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mass Eye and Ear (MEEI) or Mass General Hospital (MGH) funds. Visitation will be held at Quealy and Son Funeral Home, 116 Adams St., Abington, Sunday, July 22, from 3 to 6 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, July 23, at 9:00 a.m. at St. Bridget's Church.
