Obituary

Alberta (Williams) Bezanson, 89, of Hanover, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on November 6, 2025, surrounded by her loving family and friends. Born in Quincy, Alberta was predeceased by her beloved husband of 60 years, George Bezanson, her daughter Linda, and her sons George II and Steven.

A devoted mother, Alberta dedicated herself to her family and community. She served as Den Mother for Cub Scouts and as Mother Advisor for Wollaston Assembly #10, International Order of the Rainbow for Girls.

Alberta was also a long-time member of several South Shore Chapters of the Order of the Eastern Star, where she served as Worthy Matron and proudly held the title of Grand Electa in 1981.

She is survived by her son Alex and his wife Lisa of Abington; daughters-in-law Rose Mountain of New Hampshire, Carolyn Wall of Georgia; and son-in-law Lester Harmon of Maine.

She was the loving Nana to Kenyatta Savage of North Attleboro, Sandi Andersen of Rhode Island, LeAnn Baldock of New Hampshire, Brian and Jen Bezanson of Abington, George Bezanson III of New Hampshire, Christina and Jay Dunbar of New Hampshire, and Anders and Carrie Bezanson of Georgia. Alberta also leaves behind her cherished great-grandchildren Isabella, Jude, Madelyn, Ella and Liv.

The family would like to extend heartfelt gratitude to Betty Hill for her care and companionship to "Nana" over the years, as well as to the friends and staff of Hanover Legion Apartments and Life Care of the South Shore in Scituate for their kindness and support.

Visitation will be held at Quealy & Son Funeral Home, 116 Adams Street, Abington, on Thursday, November 13, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM, followed by a Funeral Service at 5:00 PM. Burial will be held privately at a later date at Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
