Barbara Jean Flaherty-Gove, 84, of Hanover MA, passed peacefully on July 22, 2020. Barbara was born on May 18, 1936 to Thomas and Alice Flaherty and grew up in Dorchester. She married William Gove on November 22, 1975 and retired as a cook at Fuller Trust.

Barbara has a full life of love and was survived by so many: Her husband Billy Gove, her son Kenneth Ruf (deceased) and wife Cheryl Ruf, daughter Patricia and husband Mark Walsh; her sister Helen and husband Roy Pitman (deceased), sister Carol and Nick Nagle (deceased), brother Thomas Flaherty (deceased) and Marion Flaherty, brother Joey Flaherty (deceased), and daughter Denise and Norman Paulus. Barbara was also known as "Nans" or "Bebe" to many; Granddaughter Katrina and husband Vincent Simmons, granddaughters Samantha and Amanda Walsh, and great grandkids Natalie, Kyra, and Vincent Jr. Simmonds.

Barbara loved being surrounded by family and enjoyed weekends away with Billy at Foxwoods. Some of her happiest days were spent with her grandkids and great grandkids. Barbara's beautiful smile, generous ways, and warm hugs will be forever missed and cherished beyond words.

Visitation will be held at the Quealy & Son Funeral Home 116 Adams Street, Abington on Sunday July 26 from 1 to 4pm.
