BEVERLY ANN SCHMIDT

SCHMIDT, BEVERLY A., 96, formerly of Brooksby Village, Peabody, and earlier Abington MA, passed away peacefully at the Masconomet Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center on Friday, July 18, 2025. She was the wife of the late Henry R. Schmidt.

Born in Brooklyn, New York, she was the daughter of Viola (Alberts) and Frederic Mirra. Beverly retired from the Dietary Department at South Shore Hospital in Weymouth MA, and later became a docent at the Fuller Craft Museum in Brockton MA. She was a graduate of Pratt Institute with a degree in dietary science. Beverly was active in Joy in Christ Lutheran Church in Abington. She enjoyed the hobbies of watercolor painting, ceramics, and singing with Harmony International for many years in the Island  Grove chapter.

She is survived by her children, Robert and Janice (Leininger) Schmidt of Bethlehem PA, and Leslie (Schmidt) Voss and Guido Voss of Topsfield MA, her grandchildren, Laura (Schmidt) Penske, her husband Stephen Penske of Coopersburg PA, Peter Schmidt and his wife Brooke (Stanley) Schmidt of Arlington VA, and Marlena Voss of Topsfield MA, her niece Karen Meyer and nephew Richard & Karyn (Buehler) Meyer. Great Grandchildren: Henry Penske and Lincoln Penske.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 23 from 11am to noon at Quealy and Son Funeral Home, 116 Adams Street, Abington, followed by a funeral home service at noon. Interment will follow at Mt Vernon Cemetery in Abington.
