Obituary

Biagio Gregoli "Gino" of Hanson, Ma., formerly of Quincy, Massachusetts, born in Italy passed away at 91, at home surrounded by his loving family on July 11, 2024.

He was the first son of four brothers.

Gino would return to Italy almost every year to swim and enjoy food, friends and family. Gino was as an artisan trained as a professional antique furniture restorer. He practiced his craft in Rome, Milan and New York before finally settling in Quincy, Massachusetts. He worked for notable companies such as: August Interiors and Mystic Scenic where his craftsmanship and devotion was highly favored.  He loved his colleagues and treated them as family. He was a member of The Son's of Italy Men's Club where he could be found chatting with his fellow members and friends from all parts of Italy, creating a unique sense of community and home away from home.

His other passions were going food shopping with his wife and quickly returning home to make delicious meals for him and his family to enjoy. Everyone knew and greeted Gino at the specialty shops where he bought most of his food. Gino also enjoyed going to the 110 Fitness Gym in Rockland, Ma, where he exercised and boxed and bravely battled Parkinson's.

Gino will be remembered and missed for his quick wit, charm and charisma. He was a generous, giving and empathetic man.

He was predeceased by his brothers, Antonino and Domenico Gregoli.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 66 years, Anna Maria (Russo), and his three daughters whom he cherished and loved very much: Rosalie Gregoli of Abington, Christine Comeau of Hanson,  Sandra Gregoli and her husband Antonio Coletta of Italy.  In addition, he had special relationships with Giuseppe Vento of Quincy and Matthew Comeau of Foxborough. His legacy lives on in his five grandchildren who loved and respected him dearly: Alessandra and Marc Andrea Vento, Matthew and Amanda Comeau, and Davide Coletta. He is also survived by his brother Giuseppe Gregoli of Italy and many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his close friends, Anna and Gildo Pietrantozzi.

He will also be missed by the many employees at Trader Joe's in Hanover where he proved that friendship can be found in the most ordinary of places.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday July 17, at 10:30 AM at St. Bridget's Church, 455 Plymouth Street, Abington, MA.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Norwell VNA Hospice or to 110 Fitness in Rockland.
