Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Bryan A. Rosado Galvez, who left this world far too soon on January 5, 2025. Bryan was born on March 29, 2003, in Weymouth, Massachusetts. He spent his formative years growing up in Fajardo, Puerto Rico, and Norwood, Massachusetts, shaping the compassionate, joyful, and vibrant individual so many came to love.

Bryan's warmth and charisma lit up every room he entered. His sweetness, humor, and intelligence allowed him to connect effortlessly with people from all walks of life. He had an innate ability to make others laugh and feel at ease, a gift he shared generously with friends, family, and strangers alike. Bryan was someone who lit up the room with his smile and laughter, always making everyone feel special.

Athletics played a significant role in Bryan's life, and he excelled in any sport he pursued. His true passion in sports, however, was basketball. Bryan could spend hours on the court, honing his natural talent. One of his proudest moments was being selected for Norwood's basketball team and later joining a travel team. The countless practices and tournaments never diminished his love for the game; instead, they fueled his dedication and joy.

As a child, he had a remarkable talent for memorizing song lyrics, and this lifelong love of music blossomed into a profound passion that allowed him to share his unique perspective with the world. In his later teenage years and early adulthood, Bryan discovered a new outlet for his creativity and emotions: creating music. Bryan expressed himself through his music, it gave him a voice and a therapeutic means of self-expression, he loved to share this gift with his friends.

Bryan is survived by his loving grandparents, Carmen Rosado Vargas and Miguel A. Garcia Cruz, who cherished him deeply. He will also be missed by his Uncle William Garcia Rosado and his wife Iris Caldero, as well as his Aunt Edna Garcia and her husband Jose Medina. Bryan's cousin, Karina Salamanca, and her daughters, Kariely Rosa and Signielymar Rosa, held a special place in his heart.

Bryan was predeceased by his beloved mother, Bessie Rosado, on June 14, 2011. He is also survived by his Ma, Ana Galvez, and his Mom, Christine Sheehan, who loved him with boundless devotion. Christine's love is beautifully captured in the words: "Not of my flesh, nor of my bone, but still miraculously my own. Never forget for a single minute, you didn't grow under my heart, but in it."

Bryan had the additional blessing of finding another chosen family in 2022. Their profound grief at the loss of Bryan is another tribute to his ability to find love and give love to others around him.  A loving mom, Miralba Alcantara, along with her children Michael, Alexandra, Sarah, and Samuel Tornato, embraced him as one of their family and gave him great support, encouragement, love and acceptance.

Bryan's extended family, siblings, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews as well as countless friends will remember him as a source of light, love, and inspiration. His legacy lives on in the hearts of all who knew him. May his music play on in our hearts forever.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention ("SAVE") https://www.save.org in Bryan's memory.

May Bryan's soul find eternal peace, and may we all honor his memory by sharing kindness, love, and laughter—as he so effortlessly did during his time with us.
