Carol Collison Brady passed away peacefully on August 27, 2026, surrounded by family. She was born in 1938 to Albert A and Esther L Kenney. She graduated from Rockland High School and married her high school sweetheart, John David Brady, in 1959 at Holy Family Church in Rockland, MA.

In Carol and Dave’s early married life, Dave’s career as a Special Agent for the Federal Bureau of Investigation took them and their growing family to several assignments across the US, including Rapid City, SD; New Orleans; New York; and San Juan, Puerto Rico. They finally returned home to Boston and settled their family in Marshfield, MA, in 1972. Carol then attended Bridgewater State College to earn her teaching degree, which launched a career in early childhood education for over 30 years in both Massachusetts, at Daniel Webster Elementary School, and Florida, at S. Bryan Jennings Elementary. Teaching was Carol’s passion, especially instilling a love of reading. She was awarded Teacher of the Year several times.

A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, she is survived by her children Esther and husband George, Julie and husband Mark, John’s wife Margi, and Jane and husband Bill, and grandchildren: Matthew and wife Melissa, Megan and husband Tim, Tim and wife Kristin, Allison and husband Joshua, Henry, Katherine, Emily, Isabel, and Clara. She was also blessed with five great-grandchildren, Logan, Kenna, Cormac, Claire, and Blake. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Dave, her dear son, John, and her siblings, Robert, Albert, and Esther. Carol was beloved and is remembered for her love of her family, her faith, and for educating and advocating for children. Those who knew and loved her will miss her greatly.

Visitation will be held at the Quealy & Son Funeral Home, 116 Adams Street, Abington on Thursday October 1 from 4pm to 7pm. Funeral mass will be Friday at St. Bridget Church, Abington at 10am, followed by burial in the MA National Cemetery.
