Carol F. Nemet Curran passed away at Brockton Hospital on July 31, 2026 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on February 2, 1968, in Boston, Massachusetts, and was raised in Weymouth, where she developed the determination, compassion, and warmth that would define her life. She graduated from the University of Massachusetts Boston in 1991 with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics, beginning a distinguished career dedicated to helping others achieve one of life's greatest milestones-homeownership.

For more than 25 years, Carol built an exceptional career as a Senior Loan Officer in the mortgage industry. She made it her personal mission to help individuals and families realize the dream of owning a home, guiding countless first-time homebuyers as well as those navigating refinancing and second-home purchases. She believed everyone deserved the opportunity to build a place to call home, and her knowledge, patience, and genuine care earned the trust and gratitude of the many clients whose lives she touched.

Never one to stop learning, Carol was an avid reader whose curiosity inspired a lifelong love of education. She was especially proud of earning a Graduate Certificate in Women in Politics and Public Policy. Her passion for advocacy led her to co-petition for Massachusetts legislation regulating the practice of psychotherapy, helping advance consumer protections and professional oversight within the Commonwealth. She believed deeply in using her voice to make a meaningful difference for others.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Carol possessed an extraordinary creative spirit. An accomplished photographer, she had a remarkable gift for capturing the beauty of families and the joy of life's most treasured moments. Through her lens, she preserved memories that will be cherished for generations.

Carol's greatest joy, however, was being a mother. She was a loving and devoted mother to her son, Matthew B. Nemet Curran, whose happiness and success were the center of her world. Her love for him was unwavering, and she was endlessly proud of the man he has become.

Carol also found immense joy in the simple pleasures of life. She founded a family and friends book club in 2003 that continues to meet more than two decades later—a testament to the lasting connections she nurtured. She loved gathering with friends at Girls Gourmet, graciously opening her home to host those she loved. A devoted country music fan, she could often be found singing along to favorites like Harper Valley PTA, her smile lighting up every room.

Carol will be remembered for her radiant beauty, warm smile, generous heart, unwavering intelligence, and the kindness she extended so freely to others. She leaves behind a legacy of compassion, advocacy, creativity, and love that will continue to live on in the countless lives she touched.

Carol was predeceased by her beloved father, David A. Nemet, her mother, Kathryn F. Nemet, and her sister, Kathryn A. Nemet.

She is lovingly survived by her devoted son, Matthew B. Nemet Curran; her sisters, Barbara Chrobak (Joe) and Irene Keefe (Pat); her cherished nieces and nephews; her cousins; and many dear friends whose lives were enriched by knowing her.

Carol's family finds comfort in the countless memories she created and in the lasting impact she had on all who knew her. She will be deeply missed, forever remembered, and always loved.
