Obituary

Catherine M. Cotter (O'Meara) of Abington, Nov. 3, Born April 15, 1931 in Philadelphia PA., Daughter of the late Thomas & Katherine O'Meara and sister of  the late Durand, Joseph and Francis O'Meara; Catherine was married to Thomas F. Cotter from August 1952 until his passing in July 2005; Loving mother of Marie Nolan and husband Tim of Easton, Edward with Cathy Stokes of Abington, Robert and wife Darya of Easton, James and wife Colleen of Raynham, John of Abington, Joseph and wife Stacey of Myrtle Beach SC, Michael and wife Amy of Whitman, Patrick and wife Tracy of Halifax; 15 Grand children and several great grand children

Besides being a homemaker Kay worked for 30 years as a Crossing Guard, 25 of those years at the corner of Walnut and Summer streets for which the town name the corner after her. She also worked the election polls and town meetings as well as serving on the first Abington Golf Course Committee.

The family would also like to thank Colony Rehab Center, Abington Senior Center, and  Halifax Country Club.

Funeral from the Quealy & Son Funeral Home 116 Adams St., Abington Tuesday Nov. 8 at 8am followed by a funeral mass in St. Bridget Church, Abington 9am. Visitation Monday 4 to 8pm. Interment Mt. Vernon Cemetery, Abington. In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Catherine to: Old Colony Hospice or the Adult Supportive Day Care at the Hanson Senior Center Hanson Ma.
