Charles P. Goulet "Charlie" 94, of Scituate, MA, (formerly of Abington) passed away peacefully at home on July 1, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Charlie was born on January 2, 1930, in Boston, MA, to the late Charles J. Goulet and Monica (Leahy) Goulet.
After serving in the United States Air Force during the Korean War, Charlie married Ellen in 1958, and began their lives together in North Weymouth, MA.
Charlie is survived by his loving wife for 65 years Ellen Goulet (Hurley). He was the loving father of Catherine and her husband Edwin Beck of Penfield NY, Charles C. Goulet and his partner Lynne Shom of Brockton, MA, Carol and her husband David Kohlstedt of Lake Orion, MI, and Michele and her husband Scott Almeida of Norwell, MA. Charlie was the adorning proud papa to Michael, Jennifer, Timothy, Courtney, Mitchell, Audrey, Lillian, Ellen as well as his great-grandchildren Aiden, Charlotte & Harper.
Charlie is survived by his sister Mary Pray of Easton, MA, and was predeceased by his sister, Theresa Gately of North Weymouth, MA. Cherished uncle to Donna Cunha, Steven Gately, Janet Meehan, Kevin Gately and many great nieces & nephews.
Charlie was a true artist and craftsman, which led him to the work that he loved for many years as the owner of Goulet Wall Covering. He was a true family man and any free time was spent fostering the special bonds with the family that he and Ellen created. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend.
Charlie will be greatly missed.
A Visitation will be held at the Quealy & Son Funeral Home, 116 Adams Street, Abington, MA on Monday, July 8, from 4pm to 7pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday July 9, at 10:30 AM at St. Bridget's Church, 455 Plymouth Street, Abington, MA.
