Charles R. "Charlie" Tautkus of Abington, August 23, age 102, Loving husband of the late Josephine (Dzikiewicz) Tautkus; the Loving father of Richard of Maine, Bernard of Virginia, Charles of Hanson, and Joan Prall of Abington; 8 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren in the United States and Australia.

Charlie was a charter member of the St. Vincent De Paul Society in Abington, membership in the Abington Knights of Columbus, and a former Officer at the Abington Polish Club.  Beginning early-on in 1928, with the Brockton High School Rifle Team, he became an avid, well-respected New England Sportsman.  Charlie was a devout Catholic of St. Bridget Parish and a perpetual adorer at the Holy Ghost Chapel in Whitman.  He was also the recipient of the 2012 Archdiocese of Boston, Cheverus Award Medal by Cardinal Sean O'Malley for service to the church and God's people.

Funeral from the Quealy & Son Funeral Home 116 Adams Street, Abington Monday August 29 at 9:30am followed by a funeral Mass in St. Bridget Church, Abington 10:30am. Visitation Sunday 2 to 6pm. Interment St. Patrick Cemetery, Rockland. In lieu of flowers donation can be made in memory of Charlie to: St. Vincent De Paul Society, 455 Plymouth St., Abington, MA 02351.
