Conor Kelleher
Smith
June 30, 1980 – April 28, 2021
Conor Kelleher Smith of Abington, loving husband, adoring father, cherished brother and treasured son, passed away unexpectedly on April 28th at the age of 40.
Conor was born in Whitman, Ma and spent his childhood in Abington growing up close to his grandparents and extended family. He was a graduate of Cardinal Spellman High School in Brockton Ma where he was a member of the Varsity Basketball and Varsity Football teams. Conor attended Curry College where he started as a freshman on the football team. He was a member of the Glaziers and Glass local 1044.
Conor loved to hike and spend time with his puppy Gordo exploring the outdoors. He loved all sports, the challenge that came with remodeling his home, the joy of bike rides with Maeve and revealing his newest dance moves (matched by no one). He had a passion for cooking and baking and creating new recipes but his true passion was his wife Katie (his "Boo") and his beautiful daughter Maeve (his "Mavis") and spending time with his entire family.
He is survived by his wife Kathleen P. (Lenane) Smith, daughter Maeve E. Smith, parents Kevin K. and Cathleen A. Smith, brothers Kristopher K. Smith, husband of Aliscia (Martin), James C. Smith, husband of Nicole (Cutter) and sister Caroline J. Smith. Uncle to Kellan K. Smith and Brody Lenane, Uncle and Godfather to Kayden L. Smith, Camdyn S. Smith, Braden Lenane and Rowen Flynn. Extended family John, Elizabeth and Ryan Lenane, Liza Telford and Leo Boffoli. Aunts and Uncles, cousins and friends, far too many to mention.
This "Gentle Giant" never met a stranger, he only gathered friends. He will be missed by many but his spirit will be with us forever.
Visitation will be held at the Quealy & Son Funeral Home, 116 Adams Street, Abington Monday May 3 from 4 to 7pm. Funeral Mass Tuesday May 4 at 10:30am in St. Bridget Church, 455 Plymouth Street, Abington. Please go directly to church for the funeral mass.
