Cynthia Elaine (Loud) Darcy, 77, of Hull, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on October 12, 2025, at Queen Anne Nursing Home in Hingham, surrounded by her loving family and friends.
Born on January 7, 1948, in Brockton, MA, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Shirley Loud of Abington.
Cynthia was the beloved wife of 21 years to Anthony Saunders of Negril, Jamaica. She was the loving mother of Shawn Darcy (QFD) and his wife Tracy of Mansfield. Cherished grandmother of Ryan Darcy and his wife Alex of Erving, Evan Darcy (QFD) and his fiancée Courtney Gurnon of Mansfield, and Jessica Darcy of South Boston. Adored great-grandmother of Paige Marie Darcy.
She was predeceased by her brother Donald Loud, his wife Veronica Loud, and their son Andrew McDonald, all of Abington. She will be deeply missed by her lifelong best friend Donna Quinlin of Norwell and her cousin Diana, along with many other close friends and extended family.
A proud graduate of Abington High School, The Quincy Beauty Academy, and The Massachusetts School of Barbers, Cynthia was a talented and dedicated hairdresser. She owned and operated Cindy's Place in Quincy for 41 years, where she built lasting relationships with generations of clients.
Cindy loved spending time with her family and traveling to Jamaica with her husband Tony. She was an avid reader who enjoyed the beach, painting—a skill passed down from her grandmother—and taking cruises with her mother Shirley. Most of all, she cherished time spent with her family during holidays and special occasions, always taking great pride in their accomplishments.
Cindy will be remembered for her warmth, creativity, humor, and unwavering love for those closest to her.
