Dana Stewart Leonard, 72, of Abington, MA, passed away peacefully on November 23, 2025 at South Shore Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.

Dana was the beloved husband of Adele Michelle Leonard, with whom he shared 21 years of marriage. He was a cherished brother, father, stepfather, and the proudest grandfather to eight adored grandchildren. Dana's "grandbabies" were the light of his life and brought him the utmost joy.

Dana worked for many years as a sheet metal worker, known for his steady work ethic and constant sense of humor. He was a lifelong Boston sports fan, cheering faithfully for the Red Sox, Patriots, Bruins, and Celtics.

Farming ran in Dana's blood. His father was an Abington farmer, and Dana inherited not only his love for the land but his deep pride in growing things well. After his father's passing, Dana and Adele purchased the family farmhouse and continued to work the land as a labor of love. For more than a decade, they ran a weekend farm stand, where Dana spent countless summer days chatting with longtime customers. He loved good conversation, and people loved stopping by to talk to him.

Known for his joking nature, quick wit, warm smile, and love of family, Dana enjoyed a good shot of Fireball, scratch tickets, hearty meals, and time spent with the people he cared about most. Though he became disabled ten years ago and faced many health challenges recently, he handled them with courage, humor, and the unwavering support of his family. He is now at peace.

Dana will be cremated in accordance with his wishes. He will be forever loved and remembered for his laughter and the joy he brought to everyone who knew him.

Visitation will be held at Quealy & Son Funeral Home 116 Adams Street, Abington, MA on Tuesday December 2, from 4 PM to 7 PM. Followed by a funeral home service at 7 PM.
