David
Mccormack
May 1, 1949 – April 24, 2025
David McCormack, 75, passed away surrounded by loved ones on April 24, 2025.
Born in Abington, Massachusetts, to Joseph (Bob) and Frances McCormack, David was a proud lifelong resident of his hometown.
David was the loving husband of 56 years to Janice (Beauchesne) McCormack. He was the beloved father of Kristen and her husband Patrick Hancock, and their children, Nathan and Sean; David McCormack and his wife Jennifer, and their children, Ava, and Autumn, as well David's daughter Amber along with great-grandchildren Rosalind and Elliot; and Patrick McCormack and his partner Lindsay McCue — and their loyal dog, Wilma.
He was the brother of the late Mary Melville and her husband Don, sister Ellen Culley and her husband Joel, brother Robert McCormack and his wife Paula, and brother to the late Nancy O'Donnell. David is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
David worked at the Quincy Shipyard in his early years before joining Local 17 as a Union Sheet Metal Worker. He was extremely proud of being a union brother, and even prouder that his two sons followed in his footsteps.
David loved spending time at his favorite place — the family cabin in Woodford, Vermont. He enjoyed rides to Nantasket Beach, Anderson family clambakes, and, of course, lobster. He loved hosting Glogg parties, attending meat raffles at the American Legion, and his longtime membership at The Vega Club in Brockton. A huge Rolling Stones fan, he was also a proud member of the Shoe City Vanners. David cherished Fourth of July celebrations down the Cape, watching fireworks, and ringing in the New Year in Eastham with friends and family.
In the words of his children, David and Janice were two of the best people on Earth. Anyone who knew David would surely agree. His love for Janice was immeasurable, and their many years together were filled with laughter, loyalty, and enduring love. His love for his family was endless, and he was happiest when surrounded by them — often seen riding through the neighborhood with Janice and the grandkids on his golf cart.
David was a genuine, one-of-a-kind soul — fiercely loyal, endlessly generous, and always ready to lend a hand. He gave his unconditional love to everyone lucky enough to be a part of his life. He will never be forgotten. As David would say, "Party all the time."
In honor of David's love for life, everyone is invited to wear their favorite party attire — Jimmy Buffett style — as we gather to celebrate the incredible man he was
