Deborah
O'Leary
February 14, 1959 – June 14, 2016
Deborah Louise O'Leary died on June 14, 2016 in Whitman, MA at the age of 57 after a short but courageous battle with cancer. Debbie was the beloved mother of Mallory Cordeiro and husband Jameson, Andy Lescynski and partner Taran Loper.
Debbie was born on February 14, 1959 to father Arthur O'Leary and mother Edith Rourke, who predeceased her. She grew up in Abington Massachusetts with a large, loving family comprised of her nine siblings and their significant others (Jean O'Leary with partner Laura Barr, Arthur O'Leary with wife Cynthia, Janet D'Orsi with husband Ed Deveau, Richard O'Leary with wife Karen, Barbara Melanson with husband Scott, Edith Phillips who passed in 2007, Vicki Mishou with husband Lawrence, Patricia Reynolds with husband James, and John O'Leary. Debbie is also survived by many nieces and nephews, and her ex-husband Mark Lescynski.
Other than her children, Debbie had many other loves in her life. One was owning and operating the Ye Olde Standish Grille in East Bridgewater with her brother Richard O'Leary. The employees and customers she spent her days and nights with became her second family. With what spare time she had, she loved going out with her boyfriend, Michael Howley, on his Harley. They spent endless weekends traveling and exploring restaurants and bars throughout New England. Debbie was also an avid reader, golfer, and loved the beach from Cape Cod to Aruba.
When diagnosed with cancer in late 2015, she remained dedicated in her work, family, and in her will to fight her illness. She remained a brave, iron-willed woman, even throughout her final weeks.
Visiting hours will be held at Quealy & Son Funeral Home, 116 Adams Street in Abington on June 16th from 4-8pm. In lieu of flowers, please send a donation to the Cancer Research Institute (www.CancerResearch.org).
