Debra J. Tanger of Abington, died January 7, 2016 after a brief illness.  She was the loving wife of Gregory C. Tanger of Abington, retired Weymouth Police Captain.  She was the loving mother of Richard Betters of Canton, and Jennifer Betters of Abington, and adored grandmother of 7.  Her extended family included dogs Misty, Molly and Maddie, and cats Fluffy and Spaz.

Debra worked at Boston Financial in Quincy and Braintree.  She was a former administrative assistant and worked last for EOSCCA in Norwell, retiring in 2013.

Debra enjoyed her motorcycle, fishing and hunting, gardening, cooking, travel to Aruba, the Patriots Super Bowl , the Masters Golf Tournament  and the Kentucky Derby.

A Funeral Service will be held at the Quealy & Son Funeral Home, 116 Adams Street, Abington, Wednesday  January 13, at 11:00 am.  Visitation Tuesday from 5:00-8:00 pm.  Interment  Mt. Vernon Cemetery , Abington.  In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Debra's memory to the Shadow Fund (for animal veterinarian care), 500 Federal St., Andover MA 01810.
