Donna Patricia Nelson of Brockton, age 55, died peacefully August 26, 2017 with her loving family by her side.  Beloved daughter of John and Patricia Bishop of Weymouth; loving wife of Steven Nelson of Brockton; caring mother to her precious children, Alexandra and Matthew, her son-in-law Rodney and her new granddaughter, her joy, Gabriella Lynn.  Also, survived by 3 sisters, 2 sisters-in-law, and 3 brothers-in-law.

Donna worked as a CNA, a dedicated caregiver to the elderly and handicapped.  She gave of herself and cared about people her whole life. Donna loved to laugh and enjoyed her family and friends. She loved to be with her kids and her new granddaughter, who filled her with great pride. Donna was taken abruptly, after a short battle with cancer. Everyone who ever knew her loved her, and she will be greatly missed.

Funeral from the Quealy & Son Funeral Home 116 Adams Street, Abington Wednesday August 30 at 8am, followed by a funeral mass in St. Bridget Church, Abington 9am. Visitation Tuesday 4 to 8pm. Interment Mt. Vernon Cemetery, Abington.
