Dorothy Mary (Perette) Laird, was born 1929 in Weymouth, lived in Rockland and passed away peacefully in her sleep on September 19.

Dorothy was a former longtime resident of Hingham where she opened an art studio, Gallery One, in the 1970s, and then owned her own business as a Registered Electrologist for 25 years.  Throughout the years she traveled extensively, threw a party or two, enjoyed tennis, golf, cross country skiing and was a seasonal resident on Martha's Vineyard.

Dorothy was predeceased by her loving partner, Salvatore Briguglio, also of Rockland and her brother Albert Perette, of Weymouth.  She leaves her son Jonathan, her beloved grandson Jack, many nieces, nephews and cousins in the Perette family, as well as a lifelong group of cherished friends who filled her life with support, love and laughter.

With Dorothy's final wishes, the family will be spreading her ashes at World's End in Hingham, an area where she spent many of her happiest days, admiring the passing tides and glorious sunsets.
