Beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, and Great-Grandfather passed away peacefully surrounded by family after a long and courageous fight with Leukemia. He is survived by his wife Beverly of 56 years, along with his children Kathleen Sulmonte and her husband Anthony of Abington, Karen Hall and Jack Williams of Rockland, Kevin Hall and his wife Janet of Delray Beach, Florida, Bridget Sprague and her husband Jim of Sandwich, and Stephen Hall of Abington. Edmund is also survived by nine grandchildren including Melissa Henry, Marc and Matthew Sulmonte, Andrew Hanson, Brendan, Caitlin and Colleen Hall, and Sara and Zackary Sprague. Lastly, Edmund is survived by three great-grandchilden: Colin and Payton Henry and Myles Sulmonte
The son of Joseph P. & Mary E. Hall, Edmund is survived by two sisters, Elaine Turpel and Patricia O'Keefe of Bridgewater and pre-deceased by two brothers, Joseph and Richard Hall, both of Braintree.
Edmund was born in Braintree, MA and graduated in 1951 from Sacred Heart High School in Weymouth. Upon graduation, he joined the US Navy during the height of the Korean War and spent four years aboard the USS New Jersey. Having completed active duty, he married his high school sweetheart Beverly and settled in Abington, together raising their family the next 34 years. Edmund continued on with the US Navy for another 33 years, rising from an apprentice to Utilities Director at the Newport Naval Station. The highlight of his career came in 1978, when he was selected as the Federal Employee of the Year. After retiring from the Navy, Edmund joined an old friend at Abington Savings Bank where he served as purchasing manager for many years. Edmund continued to be active in his adopted hometown of Abington, devoting countless hours to the Little League, Youth Basketball and Pee Wee Hockey programs. He also served as a Parks and Recreation Commissioner, as well as being Abington's first Golf Course Commissioner and a life- long member of the Abington Knights of Columbus Chapter 5254.
Edmund was avid gardener and golfer, spending many joyful years golfing with the "Happy Warriors" at Halifax Country Club. He will be remembered as a quiet and candid man who was intensely loyal to his family, friends, and country. Edmund Hall will be profoundly missed by those whom loved him most.

Funeral from the Quealy & Son Funeral Home 116 Adams Street, Abington Wednesday January 8 at 8am, followed by a funeral mass in St. Bridget Church, Abington 9am. Visitation Tuesday 3 to 7pm. Interment Mt. Vernon Cemetery, Abington.
