Edna F. (Steward) Higgins of Abington, died Monday July 29 after a brief illness, age 88. Beloved wife of the late Paul f. Higgins. Mrs. Higgins was born in Quincy, MA and lived most of her adult life in Abington. Edna worked until she was 70 years old at West Acres Nursing Home in Brockton. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family. Edna is survived by one daughter, Marie Masaitis of Bridgewater; one son, Fred Higgins of East Bridgewater; three grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service at the Quealy & Son Funeral Home 116 Adams Street, Abington Thursday August 1 at 11am. Interment will follow in Mt. Vernon Cemetery, Abington. A memorial mass will be held at a later date.
