Edward J. Coughlin Sr. of Abington formerly of Rockland, September 8, 2012, age 82, Devoted husband of the late Mary (Slocum) Coughlin; Loving father of Edward J. and wife Karen of Swanton, VT., Jim and wife Cindy of Abington, John and wife Kathy of Whitman, and Kevin of Quincy; Loving grandfather of Matthew of Abington, Sean and Bryan of Whitman; Loving brother of Jean Capasso of Norwood, Millecent Deltufo of Boston, and the late James Coughlin Jr.; Also survived by long time companion Natalie Walker of Abington, and many nieces and nephews. Edward was a veteran of the U.S Marines and served during the Korean War. He was a long time employee of Boston Edison and after retirement worked for Trucchi's Supermarket, Abington. Funeral from the Quealy & Son Funeral Home 116 Adams Street, Abington Friday Sept. 14 at 11am. Visitation Thursday 4 to 8pm. Interment Holy Family Cemetery, Rockland.
