Edward F. Hamill

Edward Francis Hamill of Abington, November 2, 2026. Beloved husband of the late Bridget Helen Hamill. He was the devoted father of Kathleen Galvin of Abington; Bernadette Van Son and her husband, Scott, of Halesite, NY; Daniel Hamill and his wife, Erin; and Jennifer Shawles and her husband, David, all of Abington. He will be deeply missed by his children, whose lives he touched with his love, guidance, and unwavering devotion. Loving grandfather to Matthew, Declan, Riley, Hannah, Sarah, Luke, Brendan and Brody. 

Edward was born in County Armagh, Northern Ireland. He was the beloved brother of the late Felix, Maureen, Kathleen, Patsy, Bernadette, Dessie, Colum, Antoinette, and Brendan. 

Edward proudly worked for the Massachusetts Laborers for more than thirty years. In retirement, he found his greatest joy in being a loving and doting grandfather.

A Visitation will be held on Friday November 6 from 9 AM to 10 AM at Quealy & Son Funeral Home 116 Adams Street Abington, MA. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday November 6 at St. Bridgets Church 455 Plymouth Street Abington, MA . Interment to follow at St. Patricks Cemetery Rockland.
