Elizabeth L. (Corson) Beatson of Rockland, formerly of Quincy, died peacefully on April 24, 2014 in the South Shore Hospital, Weymouth, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Quincy, daughter of the late Walter and Annie J. (Whalen) Corson and was a graduate of the Woodward Schools for Girls. During World War II she worked in the Drafting Department at the Fore River Ship Yard. A homemaker, Mrs. Beatson was a former communicant and volunteer at St. Mary Parish in West Quincy. Beloved wife of the late Robert H. Beatson, Sr. Devoted mother of Elizabeth M. of Rockland, Barbara Beatson McLaughlin and her husband, Deacon James McLaughlin of Abington, Robert H. Beatson, Jr. of Pembroke, William G. Beatson and his wife, Althea of Pascoag, RI. Also survived by 7 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, many beloved nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Quealy & Son Funeral Home, 116 Adams Street, Abington, Tuesday at 9:30 AM. Funeral Mass in St. Bridget Church at 10:30 AM. Interment St. Mary Cemetery, West Quincy.
