It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Elizabeth Marie (Rooney) McNamara, 91 of Abington MA, on June 9, 2020.
Betty was predeceased by her loving husband John Joseph McNamara, her parents, John and Lillian Rooney and her sister Lillian Shea.
Betty was a natural caregiver, devoted Mother, Aunt and Nana who saw the world through rose colored glasses. She was known for her independence, determination, and Irish wit. A member of St. Josephs Church, Holbrook Ma and active in the Abington Senior Center. She enjoyed crochet and day trips on the bus with her fellow seniors. Betty loved holidays and family get togethers.
Betty is survived by her sons William McNamara & Barbara Callahan, John & Cyndi McNamara, and Barry McNamara. She is also survived by her Grandchildren, Caryn Contois, Shawn McNamara & Ashley Sullivan, Bryan McNamara & Kimberly Snhneider, Karla & Thomas Fennessy, and Lisa & Chris Franco. Additionally, her great grandchildren, Anna & Nick Franco, Lincoln, Eadan and Gracyn Fennessy, Ava and Addison McNamara, and Lily and soon to be born Jack McNamara. Also, her niece Tracy Shea, and nephews Peter Phillips and James McNamara. She will be sincerely missed.
