Erik James Lyons passed away on July 13, 2019 at the age of 44 in Whitman, Ma. Born in Quincy, Ma, he was the son of Debra Joyce and stepfather Martin Joyce of Abington and the late  John "Jack" Lyons. Erik was a kind soul and a avid sports fan. He grew up in Hull and attended Quincy vocational technical high school. He spent many years cooking at different restaurants and doing HVAC work. He was an incredibly talented artist and musician.

He is survived by twin brother Michael Lyons of Abington, brother Ryan Joyce of Abington, sister Kelly Viall and her husband Robert Viall of Abington. He leaves behind nieces and nephews Michael F. Lyons, Abbie Lyons, Matthew Lyons, Sawyer Viall and Kennedy Viall, all of Abington.

Visitation will be held at the Quealy & Son Funeral Home 116 Adams Street, Abington Thursday July 18 from 4 to 8pm. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home Friday at 11am. Interment will be private.
