Erwin Schmuck of Abington passed away at home Dec. 22, 2013, age 91. Son of the late Erwin Sr. and Johanna Schmuck of Jamaica Plain; Loving husband of the later Louise Fournier of Livermore Falls, Maine for 53 years; A dedicated family man, he is survived by 5 children; Peter Schmuck of Fort Mitchell, KY, Thomas Schmuck and Elise Burden both of Bridgewater, Eric Schmuck and Johanna Kasulis both of East Bridgewater, and a sister, Barbara Stimpert of Norwood, 12 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Erwin graduated from Boston English High School and joined the Army Air Corp in 1942. He earned the rank of 1st Lt. and piloted 35 bombing missions over Nazi Germany. He was a Scout Master for Troop 41 for many years and a member of the Abington Art Assoc. Funeral from the Quealy & Son Funeral Home 116 Adams St., Abington Monday Dec. 30 at 8am followed by a funeral mass in St. Bridget Church, Abington 9am. Visitation Sunday 1 to 4pm. Interment Mt. Vernon Cemetery, Abington.
