Evelyn Ruth (Donovan) Bryan of Abington (formerly of Boston and Quincy), passed away peacefully in the comforts of her home with her loving family at her side on February 8, 2024.  Ruth was 103 years old.

Ruth was born in Boston on May 26, 1920 to her parents John and Harriet Donovan. Ruth grew up in Dorchester, graduated from Dorchester High School.  She worked at several different jobs before becoming a secretary at Gillette in South Boston.  She worked at Gillette for 27 years.

Ruth was one of seven siblings with whom, along with her parents, became a very close-knit family.  They would all get together on weekends and holidays.  They would play cards, board games and even vacation together.

She is survived by her two sons Edward R. Osgood and his wife Diana of Bridgewater; and John M. Osgood and his wife Dawn of Abington.  Also survived by her 6 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and sister Dorothy Nurse.

Ruth was preceded in death by her loving husband Herbert W. Bryan and his two children Claire and William.
