With his family at his side, Geoffrey Nash passed away at home on April 27, 2021. Geoff was born on April 21, 1948 in Arlington and was raised in Norwood. A graduate of Norwood High School, Geoff went on to receive an undergraduate degree from Northeastern University and a Master in Business Administration from Boston University. Geoff was proud to have served 6 years in the National Guard Reserves.
Geoff is survived by his wife of over 48 years, Dayle Nash. He was a loving and caring father of Daniel Nash and his wife Melissa of Maynard; Matthew Nash and his wife Keri of Milford, CT; Dorothy Nash Joslin and her husband John of Brockton; Margaret Mormino and her husband Michael of Wakefield; and Michelle Nash and Jean Paul of Rockland. He was also a very proud grandfather of 15 grandchildren. Geoff was the brother-in-law to Richard and Barbara Towle, Natalie Towle (deceased), Douglas (deceased) and Nancy Towle, Detra Towle, Doretha and Edward (deceased) Gurry, Deborah and Noel Deschamps, Marc Mohr (deceased), Rita and Stephen Stella, Thomas and Jane Towle, Steven and Marianne Towle, and Maryanne Towle. He was also a part of large extended family with over 50 nieces and nephews. Geoff is also survived by his brother George Nash and sister Jennifer Fitzgerald.
Geoff was a devoted family man who enjoyed coaching his kids, playing games of all kinds with cribbage and chess among his favorites, volunteering in his community, and playing tennis, racquetball, and basketball. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family, vacations to the lakes of Maine and the countless family and holiday celebrations.
A funeral mass will be held Friday April 30, 2021 at 9am in St. Bridget Church, 455 Plymouth Street, Abington, MA 02351. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Geoff's memory to the American Diabetes Association at diabetes.org.
