George Barnett of Brockton passed away unexpectedly on March 21 ^st at the age of 59 following a short battle with cancer.  George was born in Brockton where he graduated from Brockton High School.  George was a very hard worker and dedicated most of his life working at the Milton Academy as well as Stop n' Shop.  George was an avid sports fan and loved rooting for the Patriots.  George also enjoyed passing time scratching scratch tickets.

George's true passion was found spending time with his cherished wife, Gwen Barnett whom he married in 2005.  George and Gwen purchased a home where they had lived in Brockton for many years together with their beloved cat Merlot.  If George and Gwen were not working, they were rarely seen without the other.  George and Gwen could always be spotted driving around town together sipping on coffee or spending time with their large extended family.

George was born in Brockton to the late Marge and Hal Simon.  He is survived by his revered wife Gwen Barnett, his siblings, Mark, Tim, Jeff, Debbie, Jacquie, Keith, Gregg, Michael and his wife Mary, Dianne and her partner Kara.  George is also survived by a large extended family, countless loving nieces, nephews and many friends and coworkers.

Visitation will be held at the Quealy & Son Funeral Home 116 Adams Street, Abington on Monday March 28 from 5 to 7pm, followed by a funeral home service at 7pm.
