Obituary

Harold R. Johnson, of Rockland, MA, passed away peacefully on January 16, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family. At 93 years old, Harold lived a long, full life marked by kindness, generosity, and a dedication to his loved ones.

Born on December 31, 1931, Harold grew up in East Bridgewater and spent his life rooted in the values of hard work and humility. He worked at Zildjian for 30 years, where he built strong friendships and left a lasting mark.

Harold had a zest for life and a love for the outdoors. In his younger days, he raced stock cars, and throughout his life, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and building or fixing just about anything. A man who appreciated the simple joys, Harold had a deep love for country music and the satisfaction of helping others. Whether it was family, friends, or neighbors, he gave selflessly, never expecting anything in return.

Harold's life was full of memorable moments, like the time at 80 years old when he insisted on shoveling snow off his roof—a testament to his determination and independent spirit.

Harold was predeceased by his beloved wife, Patricia Johnson, his parents, and his nine siblings, of whom he was the last surviving member.

He is survived by his devoted daughters, Carol Infiorati and her husband Philip of Punta Gorda, FL, and Jeanne Johnson of Rockland, MA. Harold was the proud grandfather of Steven and his wife Brandy, Michael, and Cindy and her husband Greg. His cherished great-grandsons—Jacob, Colin, Kevin, Kyle, and Beau—brought him endless joy. Harold also leaves behind many nieces and nephews who were dear to his heart.

A celebration of Harold's life will be held at the Quealy & Son Funeral Home, 116 Adams Street, Abington, on Saturday May 3 at 12pm.

Harold's family extends their deepest gratitude to everyone who supported and loved him. He will be remembered as a man of integrity, humor, and unwavering love—a life well lived.
