Hazel L. Sherlock of Abington formally of Quincy, passed Dec. 30, 2017 surrounded by her family, age 95, Loving wife of the late Peter J. Sherlock; Loving mother of Maureen E. Bates of Rockland, Stephen J. Sherlock and Joan of Brockton, Deborah A. Sumner and Henry of Abington, Michael T. Sherlock and Grace of Rockland, and the late Peter P. Sherlock; Beloved grandmother of Lisa Policarpo, Tracy Ferreira, Caitlyn Sherlock, Deryn Sumner, Taylor Sumner, Connor Sumner, Jared Sumner, Samoy Sherlock, Michael Sherlock,  and Justin Sherlock; Beloved great-grand mother of Tyler Sherlock, Jenna Sherlock, Joshua Her, Devon Allison, Lilly Allison, Jordon Ferreira, Yasmine Ferreira, and Brianna Ferreira; Loving great-great grandmother of Ethan Sherlock

Hazel was born in Boston to Nellie and George Bacher on March 12, 1922. She went to school in Boston and married Peter J. Sherlock on September 29, 1946 in Boston. Hazel worked as a housewife.

Funeral from the Quealy & Son Funeral Home 116 Adams Street, Abington Saturday January 6 at 8am followed by a funeral mass in St. Bridget Church, Abington 9am. Visitation Friday from 5 to 8pm. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery, West Roxbury. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to: MGH Cancer Center or Old Colony Hospice.
