Obituary

Helen Druan of Whitman, formerly of Abington and originally from Roxbury and Dorchester, passed away peacefully on April 5, 2017, age 80.

Helen was a graduate of Girl's High School, Burdette College, and Cambridge School of Radio & TV Broadcasting, all of Boston. She worked as Executive Secretary for various companies in Boston for many years, worked at South Shore Hospital and a local newspaper. She later provided babysitting for family and was the caregiver and personal support for her mother, Mary, for many years.

Helen enjoyed cooking, badminton, bowling, dancing, the "oldies", country music, rodeos, and stock car racing.

Sister of Frank Druan who resides in Edgewater, Florida, and her late brothers Ernest J. Druan Jr., Walter Druan, and  Robert Druan.  She was niece of the late Sister Antoinette of St. Joseph's, and is survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and one great great niece of Chelmsford MA.

She leaves her significant other, Bob Drew of Stoughton, who has been a caring and loving friend since 1980.

Funeral from the Quealy & Son Funeral Home 116 Adams Street, Abington Tuesday April 11 at 8am followed by a funeral mass in St. Bridget Church, Abington 9am. Visitation Monday from 5 to 8pm. Interment Mt. Vernon Cemetery, Abington.
