Howard E. Cook of Halifax past 18 years formerly of South Weymouth for 30 years, passed December 13, 2013, age 83, son of the late Hazel Lydon; Loving husband of the late Jean A. Cook; Loving father of Kenneth Cook of Abington, Lewis Cook of Rockland, Linda Rice of Halifax, Susan and John Burns of South Weymouth, and Virginia O'Brien of Abington; Brother of Barbara, Thelma, Donald, and the late Leo, Gerald, Ralph, and Lewis; Loving grandfather of Charles, Samantha, Nicole, Allison, Abigail, John, Kayla, Joshua, and Brendan. Howard was born in Dorchester on Dec. 22, 1929. Mr. Cook spent his summers as a child in Pembroke on the lakes and enjoyed the outdoors.  He loved going for long walks in the park and feeding the ducks along the way. He was an offset printer for many years and retired from John Pow Printing Co. in South Boston and was a veteran of the Korean War. A Funeral Service will be held at the Quealy & Son Funeral Home 116 Adams Street, Abington Wednesday December 18 at 10am. Visitation Tuesday 5 to 8pm. Interment Central Cemetery, Halifax.
